Seaco’s fleet of intermodal Bulk Powder tanks help support industries in the seamless logistical transfer and handling of cargo such as cement, plaster, fly ash, limestone and flour.
Our tanks have a capacity of 24.5m3 and a maximum gross weight of 34,000kg. Equipped with 3 fluidisation cone discharge arrangement, the aeration on each cone for local fluidization helps prevent product build-up and helps the efficient flow of powder, assisted via 4 inch outlet pipe system and 4 inch camlock couplings.
LR, CSC and CLASSIFICATION SOCIETY APPROVED. Tanks in accordance with ISO104, TECHNICAL CONDITION AND TESTING METHOD IN ISO1496-3 SERIAL 1-CONTAINER.
The authorised Dangerous Goods Advisor should confirm fitness to purpose of any tank and that the cargo is compatible and will not attack the tank vessel. Tank containers are supplied in accordance with a signed lease and Seaco General Trading Terms.
Overview
- Design Code: The design code AS1210 (where applicable) and AS/NZ 3788-2006 (Australia Standards/New Zealand Committee pressure equipment in-service inspection) to ensure every pressure vessel is protected by a relief device that prevents the vessel pressure from rising more than 110% of the vessel’s design pressure.
- 3 Loading Hatches: Fitted on the top of the tank enabling loading via silo.
- Manlid: Quick release DN 500mm latch manlid
- Safety Relief Valve: Fitted with a 2 inch aluminium safety valve to help protect the tank from accidental over-pressure and implosion from unwanted vacuum conditions.
- Compressed Air Discharge: Bulk powder is fluidised in the tanks by compressed air and then discharged to the pipes using the air flow from the compressor.
- Protective Coating: Epoxy resin surface coating inside the container to help protect the internal surface from corrosion and decay.
- Shell Material: Carbon steel construction with a 4mm carbon steel barrel thickness.
- Industry Approvals: LR (Lloyds Register) certified that the tank confirms to industry quality standards, international conventions and LR class requirements. CSC (Convention for Safe Containers) certified our equipment has been tested and meets specific requirements.
